Manuj Jindal, born in a village in Ghaziabad, started studying in a school in Dehradun after his early studies. After completing his schooling, he got selected in NDA. He performed well in the first term of training, but by the time of the second term, he became a victim of anxiety and depression. At the age of 18, Manuj Jindal was selected in the NDA, but after a few days he started having anxiety and he was not able to fight this disease. It became difficult for him to survive in the NDA Training Academy. When he told this problem to the family members, he felt that perhaps it is a new place, slowly everything will be right, but Manuj could not settle. Coming to the second term, he got hurt in his hands and feet, because due to mental stress, it started affecting his body too, after which he was admitted to the hospital after seeing his increasing depression, where he was admitted for 3 to 4 months. And keep taking medicines.

Family always encouraged
Manuj himself could not understand the reason for the depression, so he was expelled from the NDA, after which his family brought him home. His father and brother always supported him and always maintained a positive atmosphere. While sharing his story, Manuj says that in fact, your personality can never be ascertained from your achievement. Sometimes you are very successful and still you are disappointed in your life. Therefore, first of all, you should try to understand yourself, while if you are ever a victim of depression, then talk openly about it. If you are feeling lonely or upset about something, then try to find happiness in small things, like if you stay at home then do small and big things in your house, play with an animal, a little Walk Don’t let your body dominate your mind.

Journey from NDA to IAS
Manuj fought depression after coming back from NDA and on the advice of his friends went to the University of Virginia to study, from there he got a good job, but returned to India after working for 3 years. On the advice of his brother, he gave his first UPSC attempt in 2014, but he could not succeed. He did not give up and secured 52nd rank in 2017 All India. Presently he is posted as Jalna District CEO Zilla Parishad located near Aurangabad.
