India vs South Africa, Rituraj Gaikwad: Opener Rituraj Gaikwad’s performance for Chennai Super Kings in IPL was nothing special for Team India. In the first two T20Is against South Africa, he could only score 23 and 01 runs respectively. However, in Visakhapatnam T20, he scored his first half-century of international cricket.

After the match, Gaikwad told what was his plan in the third T20 after failing in the first two matches. Gaikwad made a comeback in the third match, scoring 57 runs in 35 balls. Along with Ishan Kishan, he shared a 97-run partnership for the first wicket.

With the help of the batsmen, India scored 179 runs for the loss of 5 wickets, which proved beneficial for the team. Gaikwad further explained that the ball coming onto the bat helped him play his shots well.

Gaikwad said after the match, “In the first two matches, I didn’t give my best to the team, but in the third match, I understood the ball and then hit the shots, which helped make a big score for the team and myself. However, Right now in the five-match series, the team needed a win as we lost the last two matches.” In all three matches, India scored 211, 148 and 179 respectively. Despite having a big score in the first match, the team lost the match.
