Delhi Schools EWS Admissions 2022 Last Date Extended: There is big news for the parents who wish to admit their child in Delhi Schools. The last date for taking admission for the students of EWS category in the schools here has been extended once again. Now parents of EWS category students for admission in Nursery, KG and Class I 24 June 2022 Can apply till Earlier the last date to apply was 14th June 2022 which has been extended. The Delhi Government has once again brought relief to the students of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) by extending the last date of admission to them.

In this regard Yogesh Pal Singh, Deputy Director of Education said, ‘The last date for admission of successful candidates of EWS and Deprived Groups (DG) in entry level classes has been extended once again till June 24.’
Admission to entry-level classes in private schools in Delhi under Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Deprived Group (DG) and Children with Special Needs (CWSN) category began on March 29.
What is the rule
As per the provisions of the Right to Education Act, 25 per cent seats in the entry level classes i.e. Nursery, KG and Class I in private schools are reserved for EWS, DG and CWSN category students.
Who comes in this category –
Those children come under the purview of EWS, whose parents’ annual income is less than one lakh rupees. At the same time, the DG category includes Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), non-creamy layer, orphans, transgender and children infected with HIV.
